Newfoundland – Day 15 Deer Lake to St Anthony

We would definitely stay at Lakeview B&B again. It was wonderful! For breakfast we had French toast with homemade blueberry sauce and sausages! So yummy! The house was full – 11 guests and a baby guest!!

We drove through Gros Morne National Park. What a beautiful ride! Mountains, lakes, windy roads. All the rest stops were on the other side of the road – we will stop on the way back to take pics.

On the way back we are staying at Shallow Bay. We stopped and asked if we could drop a bag off to lighten our road to St Anthony. Not a problem. And on our way we went!

We stopped at The Arches.

The rocks are so interesting! Wish I could’ve taken some home!

We continued on our way. We stopped for lunch in Flower’s Cove. You could see Labrador in the distance!

We were told by many the road to St Anthony was quite bad. It had a few areas but was okay. Just have to go slow. 416 km took us 7 hours but we had a few stops as well!!
We finally arrived in St Anthony. Drizzling rain!!  Not fun!
We checked into the Haven Inn. Room is ok. We are staying another night here but different room – upgrade to suite!  Will see how that is!!

We went for dinner and took a few pics of the harbour from the window in the restaurant.

See the boat coming into the harbour!

A typical pothole!

We are heading to the Viking ruins tomorrow – L’Anse aux Meadows. Forecast – rain!!!
